Most Army Lodging facilities (41 locations) have been privatized through the Privatization of Army Lodging (PAL) program and are now managed by Intercontinental Hotels Group. The remaining Continental U.S. (CONUS) location, Charlottesville, and all foreign locations, are still managed by Army Lodging.
Navy Gateway Inns & Suites (NGIS) operated by NEXCOM offers approximately 16,000 guest rooms at 59 locations worldwide. NGIS is considered priority-one lodging for all Navy TDY uniformed members, and also offers lodging services for individual/group TDY travelers, DoD civilians and Space Available (leisure) travelers (retirees), reservists, Veterans with a Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC), and caregivers with a letter.

Transient Lodging facilities are considered priority-one temporary lodging and Billeting facilities for Marine Corps and Navy TDY travelers. They offer professionally-managed, clean, and comfortable accommodations to maximize the ability to meet the mission.
Temporary Lodging Facilities (Inns of the Corps) offer extended stay hotel accommodations for military members and families during PCS moves. Inns of the Corps properties are often located near MCCS shopping and restaurant facilities and offer modern facilities and attentive service at reasonable prices. Inns of the Corps facilities are also authorized to accommodate TDY travelers.
