The authority for this action is 37 U.S.C. § 452(b)(11). Due to a shortage of housing in the Atlantic City, NJ military housing area, personnel require additional time to locate and secure permanent housing. This item extends the end date through which the Atlantic City, NJ MHA is a location where Service members may receive extended TLE.11/30/2023
UTD/CTD for MAP/CAP 88-23(I), Update Authorized R&R Locations and DestinationsThis item adds eight additional countries designated as chargeable rest and recuperation (R&R) leave duty locations. The new locations designated as chargeable R&R leave duty locations are Algeria, Burundi, Cameroon (North and Far North), Libya, Mali, Niger, South Sudan, and Tunisia. These R&R locations are effective from November 30, 2023 through November 20, 2025.12/6/2023
UTD for MAP 108-23(I), CY2024 Dislocation Allowance (DLA) RatesThis item increases the DLA rates effective January 1, 2024 based on the basic rate of pay increase of 5.2% in the FY2024 President’s Budget. UTD for MAP 14-23(R), Child Care Reimbursement Incident to a Permanent Change of Station (PCS)This item implements a new pilot program pursuant by Section 627 of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2023. In accordance with Section 627, the Secretary of Defense must carry out a pilot program to reimburse a member of the Armed Forces for travel and transportation expenses incurred by a child care provider during a permanent change of station (PCS) when child care is not available at a military child development center at the new permanent duty station (PDS) within 30 days of the Service member’s reporting date.1/30/2024
