The Department of the Army memorandums dated February 11, 2022, and November 5, 2008, pursuant to authority in DoD Instruction (DoDI) 1315.18 “Procedures for Military Personnel Assignments,” authorizes Army personnel assigned to Central African Republic (CAR) and Shariki, Japan to serve a 12-month dependent restricted tour. Additionally, this item restructures the Tour Lengths and Tours of Duty OCONUS to bring it into compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended (29 U.S.C. §794d). The intent is to ensure RC members are reimbursed for the cost of Government quarters or Integrated Lodging Program facilities located on the installation during Annual Training and other applicable ADT periods.
